You'd think with a history as long and colorful as our sandbar's, combined with our nautical heritage we'd have created an official flag that looked better than the OBX stickers that became a fad. Well, back in 2022 we created "The Outer Banks Flag" to give everyone with a connection to this magical place we love a true banner to wave and display in support of the Outer Banks. Featuring the traditional black and white colors made famous by our areas light houses, and each stripe representing an area from Corolla to Ocracoke all held together by the storm warning flag to represent how this area has always come together to weather any storm that has attempted to batter its shores. Because "5 o'clock somewhere" hits different when you’re flying the OBX colors. Pour a double, drop anchor, and let the workday drift away.
